The MBN was founded in 2007 by representatives with over 50 years combined experience in running sanctioned contests that compete in Memphis-style barbecue competitions. Our mission as the Memphis Barbecue Network is to promote, educate, and enhance the aspects of pork barbecue cooking and competition that is unique to the style of Memphis barbecue. The MBN is striving to become part of the national and worldwide community of barbecue lovers through competition and friendship.
